About Me
My name is Ed Pope and have lived in Cornwall all my life. I am a self-taught artist and work with a wide variety of mediums, and I paint a wide variety of subjects. I do tend to lean more towards using acrylics, purely because they dry very quick. I do enjoy working on commissions for people, because it could be of anything that they may desire. You can see some examples in my Portfolio page.
Initially I was not planning on doing commissions for people, but one day during an exhibition I was involved in, I was approached and someone asked if I could do a portrait of their daughter. They went away pleased and from that moment on, I have found satisfaction in bringing some cheer to people by painting for them.

I have been working for myself since 2005, and have exhibited my paintings in several local venues alongside other artists.
I do most of my own picture framing and I also offer my services for framing in my local area for others. Alongside this, I cut mountboards up to a certain size.
Over the past year I have also been learning the basics of web-designing with ACPD. My main reason is to set-up my own virtual gallery, which will enable me to reach a wider audience worldwide. Your comments would be most welcome on what you may think of the paintings or, do you have any views on what you would think would help your visit to this web site more user friendly.
Sometime in the future more pictures will be added to the galleries and be available to buy originals and /or prints.
